WINDOW COMMANDS
NYWord allows you to have 12 horizontal windows on the screen at the
same time. Each window can have a separate file, or the same file.
Since the 10 "pick" buffers are common to both windows, you can cut
and paste text between windows. You can copy or pick text into a
buffer, move to the other window, then use the <PUT> command to trans-
fer the text from the pick buffer into the window.
<SPLIT WINDOW> (the ALT F2 key) opens up another window. You are
prompted for the name of the file to be in the bottom window. Type the
file name, or press <RETURN> if you want the same file in the new win-
dow.
<GOTO WINDOW> (the PRTSC key) moves the cursor to its previous
position in the next window.
<CLOSE WINDOW> (CTRL D or ALT F1 key) closes the current window and
makes file in the next window the current file. You are prompted to
save the file in the closed window.
<EXPLODE> (the ALT + key) enlarges the current window to be the size
of the screen. Pressing <SHRINK> (the ALT - key) will restore the
other windows.
